Vipassana retreat – registration opens January 2nd 2026

The vipassana retreat takes place on the beautiful estate Oxerhof, near Deventer. This special place offers quiet and space, making it easier to turn inwards.

What is Vipassana?

Vipassana means insight—seeing things as they truly are. It reveals who you are and what you’ve become. It is not a technique or a method—it is an art. It belongs to no religion.

Naropa’s unique approach

Naropa offers this form in a unique, tantric way. This creates a combination of intensity, relaxation and playfulness that awakens your essence. He calls his apporach tantric vipassana, because everything is interwoven and awareness is not separate from daily life.

In addition, integration plays an important role. Meditation is not something taking place outside of life, but something completely connected with it. This brings Love and Awareness together as living reality.

Together with daily Gayatri Mantra recitation and daily sharings with Naropa, this retreat forms a powerful path to awakening.

Silence and full attention

During the retreat we remain in complete silence. That is why there is no use of phones, books, writing materials, or other distractions. We turn inward—directly meeting ourselves.

  Discounts for people with minimal income are negotiable.

Cancellation policy

• More than 4 weeks before:  €100 is not restituted.

• Within 4 weeks: 50% is refunded.

• Within 10 days: No restitution possible.
